P6 Learning Journey to Kidzania

Jan 22, 18 P6 Learning Journey to Kidzania

The first day back in Frontier Primary started with lots of fun-filled activities. All Frontierers had the opportunity to go through a four-day immersion programme, ‘Back to Frontier’. The aim of this programme is to ease pupils into the school environment and for the school and teachers to set their expectations.

The Primary 6 Frontierers started their ‘Back to Frontier’ programme with the theme ‘We Care for Our Future’. In line with the theme, a number of programmes were planned for them. One of them was an exciting experiential learning journey to KidZania Singapore.

This learning journey is a part of the four sessions of Integrated Project Work (IPW) with the theme ‘Our Future’. The aim is to provide opportunities for Frontierers to build knowledge and be equipped with skills pertaining to career options of their choice. The P6 pupils were not only engaged in workshops and activities at different stations, but also earned and spent KidZos (KidZania’s own currency).  For many of them, it was their first time at KidZania and it was an enriching experience as they tried out obstacle courses, put out fires, being paramedics, delivering parcels, making food and even managing security for the bank.

It was no wonder the pupils were exhausted by the end of the day! It had been a fruitful day for many of them as they took back wonderful memories of being with their friends and trying out the careers of their choice.
